Always see the LED status of Num, Caps, and Scroll Lock!
I have a small keyboard and fat fingers so disabling the caps lock is worth everything.
I just had to email you to say THANKS for the great free AlomWare Lights software!!
AlomWare Lights is a small app that shows the LED status of the Num Lock, Caps Lock, and Scroll Lock keys at the bottom-right corner of your PC's desktop (next to the clock). This is handy for users whose keyboard does not have LED lights to show these states, such as various laptops and/or wireless keyboards.
Unlike other LED indicator apps, AlomWare Lights goes one step further and allows you force Num Lock on, so you don't type blanks instead of numbers without realizing; and you can force Caps Lock off, so that you don't start typing in capitals by mistake.
Important! Microsoft Windows purposely hides system tray icons from view, leading to the false assumption that AlomWare Lights "isn't working". To fix this, you need to adjust your notification icon settings on your PC. To do this on Windows 7, right-click your PC's clock (ref 1 below) and click "Customize notification icons" (ref 2). A new window will appear where you can select which icons appear on the taskbar. You can either set to them all on (including AlomWare Lights) by ticking "Always show all icons and notifications on the taskbar" (ref 3), or untick that and manually set AlomWare Lights to "Show icon and notifications" (ref 4). Other versions of Windows have a similar setting in the same area.
