Version 9.0.0.5 of AlomWare Toolbox introduced a new magnifying glass feature with a step called "Toolbox: Show the magnifier". When used, it shows a magnifying glass on your desktop that you can drag around to zoom in on things. It's not intended to be a replacement for the app's "Desktop Info" tab, but more for just quickly zooming in on something to see it better for a moment. You can zoom in or out by scrolling the mouse wheel on the lens.
Here's an action that shows the magnifier while a hotkey is held down, and then hides it when the hotkey is released:
(Start)
HOW TO USE: Copy from Start to End, and then paste into an action.
REFERENCE : See an example of pasting at alomware.com/paste.png
0001 Toolbox: Show the magnifier "1"
0002 Wait: For action hotkey to be released ""
0003 Toolbox: Show the magnifier "0"
(End)

Absolute magic! I've wanted something like this for years. Everything I tried was so convoluted or took up half the screen. Being able to just hold down a hotkey and drag the lens around is sweet AF!
Thanks for the positive feedback. :)
I added it after seeing this Reddit post:

So you can really thank the OP there for it being added to Toolbox ;D
