Help and Support / Clear all hotkeys
July 11, 2026, 02:30:46 PM
Is there a way to clear all hotkeys at once instead of one by one?

I edited my post to include the wait for hotkey step, so it should work for you now.

Quote from: Paul (Lead Developer) on May 18, 2026, 01:42:19 PMIf you think the app is expensive, it's because you haven't grasped all that it can do.
Now that I've had the app for a while, I can see what you said is a true understatement! I had no idea of its power when I first laid eyes on it, but since then I've been slowly going through the automation functions I am totally stunned by what's on offer. Quite amazing. I've got quite a few automations set up with it now, and I just posted one as a tip here that may be of interest to others: https://www.alomware.com/forum/index.php?topic=155.0

I know the topic title is a mouthful, lol. But here's what I mean: it's an alternative clipboard cut function that remembers the current clipboard text, but lets me cut some selected new text for a temporary paste somewhere else. Once pasted with Ctrl+V, then original text goes back into the clipboard again. So it's good for when you don't want to lose the clipboard text but do need to make a temporary cut and paste with other text. I've got it bound to Shift+Ctrl+X and it works flawlessly. You can easily adapt this to work with copying as well (just duplicate the action, change step 2 to be the copy step, and bind a hotkey to something like Shift+Ctrl+C).

(Start)
HOW TO USE: Copy from Start to End, and then paste into an action.
REFERENCE : See an example of pasting at alomware.com/paste.png
0001 Wait: For action hotkey to be released ""
0002 String: Assign from clipboard text ""
0003 Keyboard: Cut ""
0004 Wait: For keypresses or mouse clicks "{ctrl}v"
0005 Clipboard: Assign text "string$"
(End)

Help and Support / Can Alomware Toolbox do this?
May 31, 2026, 05:19:11 PM
I'm new to Alomware Toolbox but already paid for it because I've been blown away by it so far. It's one of the best software tools I've ever used. :D So far I've mainly used it for text autocompletion of things like my email and some website logins, but as a newbie I'd like to know if it's possible for me to open my music player but not lose the focus of the window that I'm currently using? Because it's annoying to click the taskbar to return to where I was after my music player opens. I'm guessing this is not a hard thing to do, but I'm not sure yet how to do it. Thanks in advance.

Sorry for my late response, but this works great and is just what I needed.

Help and Support / Kill and restart a hung app
May 21, 2026, 04:40:56 PM
Sometimes Firefox on my PC locks up with YouTube and I'd like a quick way to kill and restart it. Is there an easy way to do it without opening Task Manager or right clicking its task bar button?

I would like to be able to backup my actions as well. Is this still on the roadmap?

I just replied to that post and I feel my purchase would be in safe hands, so I just paid for a supporter code. Keep up the good work Paul, and I look forward to future updates. Any hints on what's on the roadmap?

Such a fast response to my challenge in my other post, and it works! I appreciate the detailed screenshot instructions. Seems it wasn't really a challenge for you at all to do this. Next time I'll have to test you with something harder. ;) Oblivion was totally right in his post about you being an attentive developer. It's a rare thing these days.

Quote from: Paul (Lead Developer) on May 18, 2026, 01:42:19 PMIs there something in particular you'd like to be able to do on your PC that you currently can't? Let me know and I'll see if I can cook up an automated action for it.
Challenge accepted. One of my bugbears is that I have an ultrawide monitor and I hate looking down to my far left to see the Windows Run box when it opens there. Can it be made to open in the middle of the desktop instead? Bonus points if it also opens with no text in it, instead of defaulting to the last item I typed.

But it seems a bit expensive? Why so much?
