AlomWare Toolbox's Window
AlomWare Toolbox is designed to be very simple to use. Whenever you press the main hotkey, AlomWare Toolbox's window will appear (Figure 1). Pressing the hotkey again will re-hide it, then re-show it, and so on. If you close the window by clicking its close button (the "X" at its top-right corner) or with the system hotkey of [Alt]+[F4], the app doesn't actually quit but instead just hides so that any automated actions, scheduled tasks, and other tasks can still run in the background. To actually quit the app, hold down the [Shift] key when clicking the close button, or select "Quit AlomWare Toolbox" from the "General" menu (item A).

The "PC Tweaks" menu for quick ad-hoc computer tweaks like clearing the clipboard and centering all windows.

The Settings button for changing the way AlomWare Toolbox looks and functions, such as its Privacy options and changing the app's colors. It's highly recommend that you browse the settings when first using the app, to ensure it functions to your personal needs.

The Command Box for entering pre-set commands to do something quickly, such as basic calculations, setting ad-hoc reminders, running a DOS command, terminating a process without needing to open the Windows Task Manager, etc. Press the [F6] key at any time to select the Command Box, and press the [Up] and [Down] arrow keys to cycle back and forward through the commands you've entered. Press the [F1] key on the Command Box to see which commands you can type in it.
Information about the text in the Command Box. By default, this shows the number of characters typed into it, but you can type other things in the Command Box and information about it may be shown here instead, such as the result of a basic calculation. Press the [F1] key on the Command Box to learn what you can type in it.
The Password button for specifying a temporary password for this AlomWare Toolbox session. It's not saved anywhere and is lost when you quit the app or when you click the button a second time. The password entered here is used for encrypting and decrypting private text in your Notes and Automation steps. Please refer to those sections of this Help manual for more information.
The Pin button for keeping AlomWare Toolbox's window on top of all others.
The Calendar tab for quick-reference of dates and their calculations; and to set scheduled tasks and reminders.
The Notes tab for creating quick plain-text notes for later viewing or copying.
The Clipboard tab for storing a history of plain text and images that you've cut or copied. Double-clicking these will re-copy them to the clipboard, thereby ensuring you don't lose anything copied.
The Screenshots tab for storing screenshots that you took by pressing the [PrintScreen] key. If you take a screenshot of a supported web browser page, the website's URL is saved with it so you can re-open the website in future. Any text in the screenshot is also saved for text-based searching of screenshots later.
The Files tab for automatic backing-up of pre-selected files when you open them with AlomWare Toolbox; bulk-renaming of files in a folder; searching files using a single plain-English phrase; and watching the activity of a specified folder to see when files and folders are added and/or removed from it in real-time.
The States tab for clean-slating your PC by closing all open apps and windows with one click; and for saving and restoring the way your PC was at any given, by way of re-opening all current open apps and windows (and their positions/sizes), as well as the current clipboard text, desktop resolution, and so on.
The Misc tab for zooming in on the desktop to get pixel color and window information; and to browse fonts installed on your PC.
The Map tab for tracking which apps, docs, and folders you've opened; and the clipboard text that you've cut or copied. These can then be conveniently re-copied or re-opened from a hotkey.
The Automation tab for creating scripted automated actions to do almost anything on your PC, such as: typing text for you, manipulating windows, launching apps, changing PC settings like the sound volume, etc.
The Log tab for using as a scratchpad to type disposable temporary notes (so you don't need to open Notepad); or to run DOS commands; or for your automated actions to send information to.
A multi-month calendar for date referencing and calculations. The taller you resize AlomWare Toolbox's window, the more months you can see. Clicking a date will show information about it in the list to its right.
Information about today's date, and also the selected date in the calendar at its left. You can also set annual events here to show a countdown to their arrival.
This is your list of current, arrived, and missed reminders or scheduled tasks.
This area is used to create one-off or recurring reminders and scheduled tasks. Tasks can run a DOS command, an automated action, or visit a website.
Messages about the last thing you did in the app; and to show the full text of selected list items.
A short reference of the current text in the clipboard. No more wondering what's in there!
A quick reference of the current time and date (with seconds!).
The System Tray Menu
When AlomWare Toolbox is running, it has an icon in the System Tray near your PC's clock (Figure 2). You can right-click this icon to get a pop-up menu of options such as to quit the app; visit AlomWare's website; view your PC's work overview; restore PC states; open apps or documents; and create new automated actions such as app launching, folder opening, setting the clipboard text, typing text from a hotkey, website opening in your browser, and so on.
Important: In general, AlomWare Toolbox's window is not meant to remain open when you're not using it, and some app functions won't work while it's open (such as auto-typing, and its system tray menu). It's more of a "pop up, do something, hide it again" style of operation.
The current window item with the focus is highlighted in yellow (which you can disable in Settings) such as the Command Box below (item F). In the app, you can press the [F1] key on the current yellow window item to see brief help for it.

In Figure 2 below, there are three actions shown that will open Calculator, Firefox, and Notepad if you click them. They appear in this menu because their action names end with a plus sign (+) in the Automation tab. Renaming an action to remove the plus sign will remove them from this system tray menu. You can also restore PC states from the system tray menu.
